Suspect Scott #351 Used Single.

This coil is often faked he catalog price for an used HH #351 is a modest $300.00 and can be faked by adding perforations to #347, #347E or trimming perforations off of #335.

The watermark is double line, normal that reads horizontal.

The width of the suspect is 20.5mm at the top and bottom which is a long way away from the ideal width of 21.55mm and the two cut edges are parallel.

The top perforations gauge out to 11.95 and the bottom perfs gauge at 11.89.

The images below show the suspects perforation overlaid on genuine perforations.

The next things to look at are the two straight edges, I used a #332a booklet pane.

As can be seen the suspect’s edges are in no way comparable to the booklet stamps, the suspect’s edges are too neat and clean and do not show the usual signs of old age and wear.

Conclusion: In my opinion the suspect is a #335 with the left and right perforations trimmed off.
