Auction House Name Sale Date Sale Number Lot Number Price Realized Lot Description
Schuyler Rumsey 4/27-29/2007 26 1866 $4,500 1909, 10¢ yellow coil. Horizontal pair with paste-up plate no.4944 tab remnant attached at right, o.g., strong color, F.-V.F., a rare pair showing the plate number from the only plate the 10¢ coils were produced from; with 1943 A.P.S. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates. Scott No. 356    $7,000.
Goldberg Auctions 4/11/2005 29 415 $2,970 1909, 10¢ yellow coil, . Scott 356. Original gum lightly hinged pair with natural s.e. at right where the next paste-up stamp was connected, there remains a bit of the paste-up tab which shows the plate no. 4944, a rare occurrence, fairly well-centered and Fine, this is a terribly difficult issue to find well-centered, with 1943 A.P.S. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates. Estimated Value $2,300 - 3,250

Weird, if the paste-up tab at the right is still there then it's missing it's perforations (trimmed off?). Got my hands on an image of the PSE certificate which states that plate #4944 is on the tab, also have an image of the 1943 APEX cert which does not mention the plate number on the tab.

As always comments and suggestions are always welcome.
